To determine if you are infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) one month to three months after you think you may have been exposed to the virus. HIV is a virus that kills or damages cells of the body's immune system. HIV most often spreads through unprotected sex with an infected person, but can also be spread from sharing needles or from coming in contact with the infected person's blood. The average time for the antibody to be detected is two weeks. A Consent Form must be completed prior to testing if you order through our 800 number.
