Liver Screen Testing

Comprehensive panel for detecting markers for Hepatitis A Virus (HAV) or Hepatitis B Virus (HAB) infections

Used for the evaluation of nutritional status, blood oncotic pressure, evaluation of renal disease with proteinuria and other chronic diseases.

One or more of these tests may be ordered when symptoms suspicious of a liver condition are noticed. These include: jaundice, dark urine, or light-colored bowel movements; nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea; loss of appetite; vomiting of blood; bloody or black bowel movements; swelling or pain in the belly; unusual weight change; or fatigue or loss of stamina.

Measurement of tacrolimus levels.

To screen for or monitor liver disorders.

To detect excessive protein,to help evaluate and monitor kidney function, and to detect kidney damage.
