To do a plank, start in a push-up position. Bend your elbows and rest on your forearms, forming a straight line from your shoulders to ankles. Engage your core by sucking in your belly button toward your spine. Practice holding the position for 30 seconds, slowly adding on 15 seconds during each workout. Take your plank to the next level by challenging yourself with side planks, single-arm planks, or on a stability ball. More
